Sarah Ferrandez

Born in Madrid in 1995 into a family of musicians, at 13 years old she entered the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía. Later on she completed her studies at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler of Berlin, where she studied with Tabea Zimmermann, with whom she continues to expand her formation.

The critiques highlight her warmth, naturalness and security she displays on stage, which make of her a musician of reference among the young Spanish players. Thanks to her innovative view of music for the viola and her extensive repertoire, Sara has known how to reach with the sound of her instrument to a wide variety of audience.

Since then, she has developed an international career, having appearances on emblematic halls such as the Berlin Philharmonie or Genève's Victoria Hall. In 2013 she played as soloist with the Sony Orchestra under the baton of Frans Helmerson and in 2014 she made her return to the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.
