LIVE From London Summer 2023 line-up announced

The line-up for this year's LIVE From London Summer festival has been revealed and includes filmed performances by VOCES8, Apollo5, Barnaby Smith, Mary Bevan, Davina Clarke, Wishful Singing, Ola Gjeilo, Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Rachel Podger, Jack Liebeck, Chamber Choir Ireland and Eamonn Dougan.

The nine concerts will be released online on August 12 and will remain available on demand until September 17.

Alongside the concerts themselves are a host of pre-concert talks, including a conversation between composer Sir James MacMillan and conductor Eamonn Dougan, which is a prelude to a live concert filmed at St Stephen's Church in Dublin by Chamber Choir Ireland.

Violinist Jack Liebeck will be joined by VOCES8 and the VOCES8 Foundation Choir and Orchestra for the world premiere of To Sing of Love: a Triptych, a violin concerto by Taylor Scott Davis in a concert that will also feature Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb and – another world premiere – Ed Rex's I Stand in the Library.

The Dutch a cappella ensemble Wishful Singing will be joined by composer and pianist Ola Gjeilo for a concert of works that draw inspiration from Gregorian plainchant, including Duruflé’s Ubi Caritas and Gjeilo’s Northern Lights, and Rachel Podger will lead Tafelmusik in a concert of Mozart's First Violin Concerto and Haydn's Symphonies Nos 49 (La Passione) and 43 (Mercury).

A season ticket for all concerts can be purchased for £80 (individual access £14) from livefromlondon.org. And your LIVE From London Summer ticket will also save you 20% on new subscriptions to Gramophone. Enter code 'LIVE23' at the checkout to claim your discount.
