Here at [email protected], we want to raise awareness of the international music community about the critical situation in the family of Russian cellist Igor Botvin. This is especially important to us since music lovers are one big family spread all over the world regardless of their musical tastes and preferences!

Russian musician Igor Botvin is a principal cellist with the Taurida State symphony orchestra based in St. Petersburg. The two Botvin´s sons Adrian (3) and Mark (5) suffer from adrenoleukodystrophy. Adrenoleukodystrophy is a rare and severe genetic disorder which now can be treated only by bone-marrow transplantation. The newest genetic technologies necessary for the treatment are extremely expensive. There is about 1.000.000 € needed to provide the corresponding medical treatment for both children. However, together with the Botvin family, we are very determined to give them a chance for a healthy and happy future!

Charity concerts

[email protected] has already streamed several concerts in benefit of Botvin’s family. In August, such wonderful musicians as Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Nikolai Lugansky, Arcadi Volodos, Anastasia Kobekina, Yury Revich and Kateryna Titova will perform to support this cause.

These concerts will be available for music lovers all over the world for free - exclusively at [email protected] We will forward all of the financial donations to the Botvin family to ensure the necessary medical treatment for the boys. Let’s make it possible together!

Your donation will save two lives
